JOB DESCRIPTION

Human Resource Coordinator

Reports to: Vice President

 

Position Summary:

 

The Human Resource Coordinator is responsible for facilitating all Human Resources functions such as employment, compensations, classification, employee relations, benefits and/or training.

 

 

Education:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or similar business field with 2 years' experience. Or, 6 years' experience with progressive leadership experience.
  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred but not required.
  • Performs complex and technically difficult human resource work, which may include supervising other human resource professionals and staff.Experience:

  • Knowledge of principles, practices and standards of human resource administration.
  • Knowledge of the methods and procedures used in collecting, analyzing, interpreting and reporting data.
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations in assigned area including but not limited to experience with Workers Compensation claims, accident investigations, and OSHA 300 log reporting requirements. Experience with the Family Medical Leave Act and administration of leave. Knowledge of ADA.
  • A working knowledge and understanding of employee benefits and benefit administration
  • Experience with recruitment and selection of employees
  • Ability to provide employee trainings and group presentations as required
  • Maintain a variety of company spreadsheets and develop reports to assist in the overall company directive and success
  • Knowledge of the methods and procedures used in collecting, analyzing, interpreting and reporting data.
  • Skill in both verbal and written communication.
  • Skill in problem analysis and resolution.
  • Skill in leading the work of others.  
  • JOB DUTIES:
  •  
  • Human resource administration such as employment, compensation, classification, employee relations, benefits and/or training.
  • Duties may involve establishing basic operating policies and procedures
  • Schedule meetings/interviews as assigned,
  • Utilizing word processing equipment and/or computers to create, process, and maintain a variety of documents and administrative records,
  • Write policies and procedures with direction from the vice president and Administration team.
  • Develop, update & maintain company information data bases,
  • Developing a system and keeping track of staff retention, conducting staff exit surveys and keeping track of the information.
  • Employee Recruitment and Selection - Actively recruit and interview applicants through a variety of advertising media, such as print ads and internet job sites, based on the needs of frontline supervisors. Assist in the interview process as needed, offering suggestions and guidance on employee selection to frontline supervisors. Make conditional job offers and run the state required background checks prior to an employee beginning work.
  • Employee On-Boarding Assist with the employee on-boarding and orientation process as needed.
  • Benefit Administration Annually meet with insurance providers and evaluate yearly renewal rates to ensure a quality benefits package. Conduct annual open enrollment meeting, as needed by area, at Full Circle Services Inc, open enrollment dates. Process all applications in a timely manner. Assist employees in understanding their benefits and the coverage that is available to them.
  • Leave Administration Administer and track Family Medical Leave and other company approved leave options.
  • Workers Compensation Report claims as they occur, conduct accident investigations, and report/record any reportable accidents on the OSHA 300 Log.
